A Post! A *New* Post! & Finding Shoes on a Budget

The thought occurred to me today "hmm, B, you haven't blogged in quite some time". I then expressed this to one of my coworkers, and he agreed that now would be a good time to create another post. I'm a terrible blogger!

Today while I was at work, I became totally obsessed with finding shoes to wear with my new black sequin cocktail dress from Ruche.

I'll definitely be blogging more about my fab sequin find later, but for today I want to talk about my amazing (and affordable) shoe finds.

Generally I don't like to pay more than about $50 for a REALLY irresistible pair of stilettos. I'm a semi-frugal lady, and these ones fit my budget just fine, so I'm going to share them with the rest of you lovely ladies who want style on a dime.

Miss America Week & Miss Utah, Danica Olsen

Wow!

I don't know if any of you readers follows the Miss America Pageant or even really gives half a hoot about it, but our Miss Utah, Danica Olsen, won the Lifestyle and Fitness Prelim last night during the first night of competition. Also, check out her gorgeous evening gown.

YOU GO GIRL!

I'm hoping that next year, you'll be watching me compete on that stage!

The New Years Resolution Revolution {2012 Edition}

It is the New Year! I hope that in between your sparkling beverage of choice, new years kiss, and watching GaGa counting down in NYC, you found time to make some resolutions for 2012!

I know I had made quite a few goals for myself for the coming year, some I'll probably keep, some I most likely won't. Some of the resolutions I'd like to keep are:

1. Pay off my student loans. 2. Establish a substantial savings account. 3. Get Healthy. 4. Do well at Miss Utah. 5. Go to the gym at least twice a week. 6. Begin playing the piano more. 7. Get 100 followers on my blog. 8. Pray more. Etc... Etc...

One of my biggest New Year's Resolutions is to stop eating fast food more than once a week. I eat fast food probably 5-7 days a week. Don't judge me, it's an addiction.

{ I'm eating a corn dog and some tots from Sonic as I am typing this post... ahh corn dogs how will I live without you? }

Also, because I am competing at the Miss Utah Pageant again this year, I really need to be physically fit { Did Real to Reel's "I like to move it" just get stuck in anyone else's head just barely? } and ready to rock that two piece!

There are obviously many, many more things that could always be improved on, but these are my biggies for the new year!.

Well everyone, 2012 is here! Hip Hip Hooray!!

I figured that since I am here in the New Year, ready for a new start, I'd begin a brand new blog! I believe this is going to be the beginning of a new chapter for me in my life, and a lot has changed since the New Year celebration of 2011 (see last year's post here.)

Here's some of the important stuff from 2011:

First and foremost, welcome to my blog!

Here's a list of things you should know about me...

My name is Becca, aka 'B'. I live in a small town in the beautiful & dry state of Utah with my parents (for the moment) and my 5 younger siblings. I also have a dad & step mom that live in a little farm town a little ways away, with 3 siblings over there. I'm one lucky gal!

I work as a coach at an internet coaching business teaching clients how to make money online. The job is okay, but the people here are great!

I compete in pageants through the Miss America Organization, and I absolutely love it. I started my senior year of high school just for the scholarship money, and have been hooked ever since.

I kind of crack myself up. All the time.

I'm a huge fan of the sun. Not a fan of the cold, but thanks to tanning beds and lots of sleep/movies, I make it through the cold and dreary months here during the Utah winters!

My boyfriend is awesome & blonde. He loves me and thinks I'm really funny. Nuff said.

I really enjoy food. I enjoy cooking it, looking at it, decorating it, pinning it (on Pinterest of course), smelling it, buying it, blogging about it, and most definitely love eating it.

I plan on going to school at a local university majoring in behavioral science, but my secret ambition is to be come an event planner/caterer.
